What to Expect: Your Gold Coast Wedding Photography Experience

When you book a Gold Coast wedding photographer, you want to know exactly what happens from that first coffee to your final gallery. I’ve photographed 630+ weddings at venues like Cowbell Creek, The Valley Estate, and Summergrove Estate—here’s how we’ll work together to document your day without stress.
I don’t pose you for 45 minutes in unnatural positions. Instead, I give you simple prompts—”walk toward the dam slowly,” “whisper something that made you laugh during your first date”—and photograph what happens naturally.

When you stop worrying about your angles or whether you’re doing it right, your real expressions show up. That’s when I get the photos you’ll actually love in 20 years.

Testimonials

Mario Colli What a Man. From the day we met him we knew he was meant to capture our wedding. He made everyone feel comfortable, didn’t discriminate and was just such a beautiful soul, perfect for weddings.

He captured every ugly crying face, every double chin from laughing and the love that was in our eyes. Getting married to the person you love so dearly is such a special moment but having someone capture it in such a beautiful way is something else. The day went so quick I barely remembered it, so to look back on our special memories means the world to me. Thank you Mario for making our day so perfect, we will see you again when it’s time for a baby.

HOW it WORKS

01

Initial meeting

We’ll start with a relaxed chat—over coffee on the Gold Coast or a Zoom call—to see if our vibes align. This is where we discuss your vision, look through some physical heirloom albums, and I answer any questions you have about how I work.

02

BOOKING

Once you’re ready, I send an electronic contract and retainer invoice. The date is yours once the retainer is paid—I turn away all other inquiries for that day. 2026 dates at popular venues like Summergrove and Austinvilla Estate are already 60% booked, so if you’ve found your venue, lock it in.

03

Planning and Timeline Strategy

I’ve spent years navigating the light at venues like Cowbell Creek and The Valley Estate, and I’ll share that knowledge with you. I’ll provide a Wedding Guide to help you build a timeline that hits the best light while keeping the day stress-free for you and your guests.

04

ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Think of this as a low-pressure way to get used to being in front of the lens. We’ll spend 90 minutes at a location that fits your style, from the Hinterland to the beach. It’s the perfect “warm-up” so that by the time your wedding day arrives, you’re already pros.

05

YOUR WEDDING DAY

On the day, I’m your calm observer. I focus on documenting the day as it unfolds—capturing the big milestones and the quiet, in-between moments. My goal is for your Gold Coast wedding photography to feel like a natural part of your experience, not a directed production.

06

Image Delivery and Album Design

Within 4 to 6 weeks, your fully edited gallery will be delivered via a private online link. If your collection includes a custom album, we’ll then work together to design a physical heirloom that preserves your story for decades to come.

FAQ

HOW DO WE ENQUIRE?

Send me an email at [email protected] or fill in the contact form here.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE IMAGES?

Usually between 5-6 weeks depending on if you are married in off-peak or peak wedding season.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

I sure do. In fact, I love travelling to new locations and will go wherever you invite me. I am based out on the Gold Coast, Australia. From here, I travel both nationally and internationally to shoot weddings. I’m in Sydney quite often, so if you’re getting married there, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
No matter where in the world you are thinking of having your wedding, I can be there, so don’t be afraid to get in touch.

CAN WE MEET FOR A CHAT BEFORE THE DAY?

Absolutely. In fact, I insist on this. If you’re close by, let’s grab a coffee. If you’re a little further away, we can organize a zoom/FaceTime chat or phone call. Either way, I feel it’s extremely important to get to know each other.
